XyEnterprise Users Conference Highlights Business Critical Publishing Solutions

Customers and Partners enjoy benefits of XML solutions – conference participants learn about latest technology from XyEnterprise

READING, MA – October 9, 2002– XyEnterprise, the leading developer of XML content management and enterprise publishing solutions, and its independent customer forum, the XyUsers Group, hosted their annual conference last week in Nashville, TN. More than 100 customers were present, highlighting the value of the conference content and XyEnterprise technology. Users shared successful case studies of their solutions and XyEnterprise employees, customers, and partners presented over 40 sessions regarding new technologies, XML tools and workflows, automated publishing, and Web-based business solutions.

Highlights of the show included the introduction of the latest release of Contenta Web for remote editing and publishing, a preview of Web Services interfaces to XyEnterprise products, and an overview of the latest XML capabilities of XML Professional Publisher. Participating customers included the British Medical Journal, General Dynamics, Pratt & Whitney, BNA, Reed Publishing, Freightliner, Kohler Plumbing, AMSEC, Petersons Guides, IBM, LexisNexis, and Thomson Publishing’s West Group.

Many attendees participated in sessions on XML Professional Publisher (XPP) and the use of XML and XSLT to transform and publish content to PDF. Other attendees focused on the use of Contenta content management technology and its enhanced Web interface. Kohler Plumbing and Twedule Litho presented case studies on the use of Contenta for their business critical content management applications.

New technology and OEM partners and NextPage presented integrations of their products with XyEnterprise technology. demonstrated the integration of XMetaL with XPP as a complete XML publishing solution that can process XML content to PDF automatically. NextPage presented an overview of NextPage Triad, an end to end content management and delivery solution that includes an OEM version of Contenta content manager.
