Contenta Concepts

Course Description: This course introduces the basic concepts and functionality of Contenta to implementers, trainers, project leaders and administrators. The course utilizes a standard training database to familiarize students with a pre-configured database. Students will also learn how to create their own database and configure it for their organization.
For new customers, Contenta Concepts is geared to the core implementation team. Typically the core implementation team is responsible for training their end-users using a customized database.
The course includes the following general topics:
- The application interface
- Configuration and hierarchy
- Property sheets (metadata)
- User desktops and roles
- Projects and Workflows
- Creating a new Contenta database
- Dynamic Import – how to import your SGML documents
- Creating and using Reports
- Searching
- Exporting and importing a database
- Deleting objects (data) from the database
Using the Contenta API
Duration: 4 days
Prerequisite: Contenta Concepts. Programming experience, especially in Perl, is recommended.
Course Description: This four-day course is targeted for the programmer and covers ContentaXML tools and APIs. It covers the following topics:
- ContentaXML environment
- Tool and trigger setup
- APIs
- Custom import, edit, export/publish tools
- Delivered tools and aids
- SQL in scripts
